Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate RTL Design Engineer to be part of our VLSI design team. You will be responsible for Register Transfer Level (RTL) design and implementation of complex digital blocks and subsystems in cutting-edge SoC or ASIC products. This role demands a strong understanding of digital logic, microarchitecture, and RTL coding using industry-standard tools and methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality RTL code in Verilog/SystemVerilog for digital IP blocks and subsystems
  • Understand architecture and microarchitecture specifications and convert them into RTL implementations
  • Perform design optimizations for area, power, and performance
  • Work closely with verification teams to ensure thorough functional coverage and bug resolution
  • Collaborate with backend teams for synthesis, timing closure, and physical design integration
  • Support integration of IP into the top-level SoC and help debug issues during the design and bring-up phases
  • Maintain design documentation, coding standards, and participate in code reviews

Key Skills & Tools:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog
  • Good understanding of digital design concepts including FSMs, pipelining, FIFOs, clocks, and resets
  • Experience with industry-standard RTL design tools like Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Genus, or equivalent
  • Exposure to scripting languages like Python, Perl, or TCL is a plus
  • Knowledge of bus protocols like AXI, AHB, or APB
  • Understanding of synthesis, timing analysis, and power optimization is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or VLSI Design
  • [1-3 / 3-5+] years of experience in RTL design for ASIC or SoC projects
  • Experience working on designs in advanced technology nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm) is a plus
